Myoporum Thrips

If you own a Myoporum
hedge, shrub or tree, then
you have seen the curling
galled-up foliage shown in
the photo on the left. It is
caused by an invasive
species of thrips that was
first observed in the U.S.
in Orange County, 2005.
Since then, it has infected
most of the Myoporum
plants throughout southern
California.
